Abstract
The article reflects the results of the research conducted on the development of the priorities for the regulation of employment by the state. Approaches and suggestions of various economists-scientists in this regard have been studied from a critical point of view. By conducting a survey among the experts working directly in the state employment service bodies in Uzbekistan, the existing problems in the state regulation of population employment in the republic were identified, and scientific proposals and practical recommendations were developed for its improvement
