Abstract
The article analyzes the theoretical foundations of compulsory medical insurance and the specific features of social protection after its introduction. The views and scientific conclusions of foreign scientists are systematized. Based on the research, scientific proposals and conclusions aimed at the introduction of compulsory medical insurance were developed.
