Abstract
Currently, water shortage is one of the most acute global problems in the world. The rapid growth of water consumption, limited opportunities to satisfy it in sufficient quantity and quality increase the urgency of the issue of rational use of water, and in many countries special attention is paid to a positive solution to this problem. During the years of independence, Uzbekistan has implemented a number of measures aimed at improving the efficiency of water resources use, including: the structure of water resources management has been improved; legal bases for regulation of water use and water consumption have been developed. In order to eliminate the water shortage observed in recent years, the use of water-saving technologies is becoming an urgent issue of rational water use. This article examines the experience of Israel and China in improving the economic efficiency of using water-saving technologies, as well as highlights the possibilities of using water-saving technologies in agriculture in our country and the Kashkadarya region.
