Requirements to abstracts


Abstract - a source of information independent of the article; a brief description of the content of the work. Recommended order of information presentation:

1) statement of the problem - the formulation of a scientific problem, currently not fully solved in a theoretical or practical aspect, for which there are inconsistencies between theoretical premises and reality, etc.;

2) a specific scientific problem that allows you to solve a scientific problem.

It is recommended to begin this part of the abstract with the phrase "The article is devoted to ..." or "The research is aimed at ...";

3) methodological base - a statement of the conceptual and theoretical foundations of the study (economic or related theories, by which the logic of the article is built);

4) materials used (information base), research methods; this part should contain a detailed description of the tools used to solve the scientific problem, as well as the empirical results of testing the proposed method;

5) the main results of the research (solution of a scientific problem), their area of ​​application; this part is a detailed description of the author's contribution to the problem under study;

6) conclusions allowing to answer the problem posed (see item 1) and to indicate further directions of research.

 

Besides, the following should be considered when writing the annotation:

- do not repeat verbatim the title and text of the article;

- do not provide figures, tables, inline notes, abbreviations, author's abbreviations, material that is absent in the article itself;

- present the results of the work as accurately and informatively as possible; give the main theoretical and experimental results, actual data, identified relationships, and patterns;

- use syntactic constructions inherent in the language of scientific and technical documents, avoid complex grammatical structures, introductory words, general formulations.

The recommended size of the abstract (both in Russian and in English) is 50–100 words.

Example: The article is devoted to the study of the problems of strategic planning and management in the Republic of Uzbekistan. One of these problems is the lack of uniform methodological approaches to the formation of documents for strategic planning of territories, including the definition of a list of areas of their strategic development. The methodological base of the research includes the theoretical provisions of strategic management, regional and spatial economics. The strategic challenges and guidelines for the modern development of Uzbekistan are highlighted. Attention is focused on the need to apply mechanisms for strategic planning and management of territorial development.
